Leadership Through Collaboration, Culture, and Community

Cultural Broker Leaders Learning Pathway

Building the Cultural Broker Leaders Learning Pathway Together

Across Canada, settlement sector practitioners are coming together to co-create a new Leaders Learning Pathway designed to strengthen leadership capacity within organizations serving immigrants and newcomers.

Through a national Community of Practice (CoP), more than 20 practitioners and leaders from six provinces are collaborating to develop a learning pathway that reflects the realities, strengths, and challenges of our diverse sector. Together, we are building a practical, inclusive, and forward-looking training experience that supports both current leaders and the next generation of leadership.

From coast to coast, our Community of Practice brings together voices from diverse cultural backgrounds, experiences, knowledge and organizations serving newcomers in different contexts. This collaborative approach ensures that the learning pathway is grounded in real-world experience and shaped by those working directly in the field..

A National Community of Practice

Our Community of Practice represents a unique network of Cultural Broker professionals committed to leadership development and knowledge sharing across Canada.

The CoP was established to:

  • Co-create the CB Leaders Learning Pathway curriculum

  • Share promising practices and leadership experiences

  • Identify emerging leadership needs within the Cultural Broker sector

  • Strengthen connections among organizations across provinces

  • Build a sustainable community that supports current and future leaders

Together, participants are helping shape a leadership development model that is relevant, practical, and responsive to the evolving needs of organizations serving immigrants.
